Financial Services SEO Case Study: +91.57% Organic Traffic for a Private Investment Firm

Flacks Group SEO Case

Project Details

Flacks Group, a private investment firm led by Michael Flacks, came to us with a challenge that went beyond typical SEO. The goal wasn’t only to grow organic traffic — it was to build the brand’s authority as an investment company and elevate Michael Flacks’ personal reputation as an industry figure, in an extremely narrow and competitive niche.

Our Strategy

Because the objective combined SEO growth with brand and personal PR, our approach had to work on two tracks at once: strengthening the website technically and topically, while running a parallel PR campaign to raise visibility for both the company and Michael Flacks personally.

Step 1

Full Technical SEO Audit

We started with a full technical audit of the site to uncover everything holding back visibility in such high-trust niche. This covered crawlability and indexation (crawl budget, orphaned pages, XML sitemap and robots.txt accuracy), Core Web Vitals and page speed on both desktop and mobile, site architecture and internal linking depth, canonicalization and duplicate content issues, Schema structured data implementation (Organization, Person, and Article schema), mobile usability, and a full backlink profile audit to flag toxic or low-quality links that could be capping trust in a finance-adjacent niche where E-E-A-T weighs heavily.

Step 2

Competitors Research

Private investment is a tiny, niche market — there aren’t many sites directly competing for the same terms. So we looked at two groups: direct competitors (other investment and PE firms) and the bigger finance media and publications that show up for the same topics. We compared what keywords they ranked for that Flacks Group didn’t, what topics they covered that we hadn’t touched yet, where their backlinks were coming from and much more. That gave us a clear list of gaps to fill and PR targets worth going after.

Step 3

Expert Premium Content

Instead of generic “about us” pages, we wrote content that actually shows what the company has done — real achievements, deals, and expertise. We built out proper bios for Michael Flacks, expanded industry pages, and made sure the content answers the questions serious investors actually search for, not just keywords.

Step 4

Site Structure Expansion

The site used to lump everything under one general “services” section. We split it up and gave each investment direction — Private Equity, Corporate, Real Estate, Environmental, and others — its own proper section with real content and internal links back to the main pages. Easier for Google to understand, easier for visitors to find what they’re actually looking for.

Step 5

Trust & Authority Building

We tightened up all the trust signals on the site: correct Schema markup for the company and for Michael as a person, consistent business info everywhere, clear sourcing behind any claims about achievements, and pulled press mentions and credentials together in one place. In a niche like this, people (and Google) don’t take financial claims at face value — you need to back them up.

Step 6

PR Campaign

At the same time, we ran a PR campaign to get real coverage of both the company and Michael Flacks in major media.

The difference from typical link-building outreach: we weren’t chasing links for the sake of a backlink profile, we picked outlets that could actually bring readers to the article and put Michael and the brand in front of the right audience. That added up to dozens of solid placements in authoritative media like Business Insider, Forbes, MSN over the campaign.

Results of Our Team

The combined SEO and PR strategy delivered strong results in a highly specific niche:

1. Organic traffic grew by 91.57% — a significant result for this specific industry

2. Dozens of high-quality PR publications about Michael Flacks placed in major media like Business Insider, Forbes, MSN etc.

3. Noticeable growth in recognition of both the Flacks Group brand and Michael Flacks personally within the investment industry

The mix of technical SEO groundwork, premium expert content, expanded site structure, and a targeted PR campaign built lasting authority for the brand — well beyond what traffic numbers alone show.
